Dr. Alexina Mehta is a wealth of knowledge that really honours the many interwoven aspects of true health. I have been both a student of hers and most recently, had her speak on my platform where she dove into the topic of feminine cycles and manifestation. What I loved the most about how she teaches is that she’s down to earth and extremely relatable, while including the spiritual and nuanced aspects of health. I highly recommend her to help guide you towards optimal health as she is both dedicated to her craft and immensely supportive of your journey.

Hey Alexina, I just wanted to send over a huge thank you! I honestly haven’t gone for this long of a streak without a massive anxiety setback. I truly believe that this is mostly because of you and your help with balancing my hormones. Every now and then it will surface but it doesn’t take me out like it used to and I just wanted you to know that. It’s so unbelievably comforting knowing I have you on board when need be. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Working with the Vibrant Body Code brought a new level of understanding of the characteristics of my physical make-up as a spirit in this body. It connected so many dots for me of why and how my body expresses itself in the way it does. Dr. Alexina gave me practical tools that were simple yet effective that I could implement immediately. Overall I am feeling much better and more grounded and at home within my skin.

Over the past few years, I struggled with fluctuating weight, constantly gaining more than I could lose. I’d lose a pound, only to gain two back. In my search for a solution, I tried challenging exercise routines and restrictive diets, which created a stressful relationship with food and my body. I couldn’t understand why nothing was working.
When I first heard about the Vibrant Body Code, everything resonated with me. For the first time, I felt that it addressed all the issues I had been struggling with. It was a no-brainer to give it a try, especially since the program’s foundation is about building healthy habits.
Since starting the program, I’ve experienced better sleep, more energy, improved focus, and a greater understanding of how to nurture my body. My cravings for unhealthy food have decreased significantly, and exercise no longer feels like a burden. Most importantly, I’ve lost weight and kept it off—a major win, considering where I began.
Now, I have daily habits that don’t feel overwhelming, and I know Dr. Alexina’s guidance was key. Her understanding and experience helped me build a healthy lifestyle, where weight loss became a bonus, not the sole focus. I learned how to make changes tailored specifically to my body and lifestyle.
I’m confident I’ll continue to see results because these new healthy habits are now fully integrated into my daily routine, making it easy to stay consistent.

I turned to Dr. Alexina Mehta after years of failed attempts to lose weight and resolve my insulin resistance. I had tried everything – cutting carbs, counting calories, increasing exercise — and none of it worked. At that point, trying again felt pointless.
When my sister enrolled in The Vibrant Body Code, and I saw the changes in her – after her own long struggle with weight and food – I decided to try it too. Her program changed the entire picture for me. I’ve lost 10 kg, eliminated my insulin resistance, gained muscle, and recovered a sense of confidence I didn’t think I could rebuild. But the deeper shift was finally understanding why I had never been able to make progress before. She helped me identify the mental, behavioral, and nutritional patterns that kept derailing me, no matter how disciplined I tried to be.
Her method is genuinely holistic. It isn’t just “eat this, avoid that.” It’s how to eat, when to eat, the order of foods, the combinations that work and the ones that don’t – a surprising number of small but essential details that no one had ever explained to me. Those details make a real, measurable difference.
She also helped me stop the cycle of self-hatred and self-punishment that had accompanied every previous attempt. That alone was a turning point. I finally had new insights and awareness to manage the mental side of things, instead of letting it sabotage me.
Another important point: her plans are truly individual. My mother, my sister, and I all worked with her, and each of our programs was completely different. She builds everything around your physiology, habits, history, and needs.
What I gained wasn’t only physical change. It was the sense that improvement was actually possible after years of frustration. If someone feels stuck the way I did, I would recommend Dr. Mehta without hesitation.

Most people with IBS are taking probiotics the wrong way.
I get asked about probiotics all the time, especially for IBS.
Two quick probiotic tips:
• Often less total CFUs is better ( ie. 15 billion)
• Often fewer strains is better (less than 5)
This is not complete guidance. Just something I`ve found useful for many people starting to use probiotics.
The type of probiotic needs to match your specific gut patterns and the root cause of IBS.
The microbiome is complex and thrives with personalized care.
If you’re dealing with IBS and want professional, root-cause support, type Vibrant below👇

Women I work with are often told fatty liver means cutting carbs, eating less, and pushing harder at the gym.
But clinically, I see something different.
The liver does not just store fat. It stores stress, hormones, toxins, and blood sugar instability. When we support liver function properly, the body often starts releasing stored fat more efficiently.
Here are 3 vegetables I love for fatty liver support:
🥬 Dandelion Greens
These bitter greens stimulate bile flow, which helps the body break down fats and remove metabolic waste. They are one of my favourite traditional liver-support foods.
🌿 Artichoke
Artichoke supports bile production and liver regeneration. Some clinical research has shown improvement and even reversal of fatty liver markers when artichoke extract was used consistently. I use both whole artichoke and sometimes standardized capsules in clinical practice.
🥬 Beets + Steamed Beet Greens
Beets support methylation and liver detox pathways. Beet greens are incredibly rich in chlorophyll, antioxidants, and minerals that help reduce liver inflammation and support fat metabolism. I recommend lightly steaming the greens to improve digestion and mineral absorption.
The real goal is not just detoxing the liver.
It is restoring the liver’s ability to regulate hormones, blood sugar, inflammation, and metabolism.
When that happens, weight, energy, skin, digestion, and mood often improve together.
If you are someone who feels like you are eating well but your body still feels stuck, your liver function may need deeper support.

Chips aren’t automatically unhealthy.
But most chips on store shelves are made with ingredients that increase inflammation, cravings, and hormone imbalance.
Here’s exactly what I check before buying chips (and what I teach my patients):
✅ Look at the oil first
The biggest issue isn’t always the potato or tortilla - it’s the oil.
Choose chips cooked in avocado oil, coconut oil, or olive oil instead of highly processed seed oils.
✅ Read the ingredient list
If the list is long or sounds like a chemistry experiment, your body usually pays the price.
✅ Watch for “natural flavors”
This sounds harmless, but it can hide dozens of additive compounds that may irritate digestion and increase cravings.
You don’t have to eliminate foods you enjoy to support your health.
You just need to learn how to choose smarter options that work with your metabolism.
Small grocery decisions can have a huge long-term impact on energy, gut health, and hormones -especially for women in midlife.
Follow for realistic, root-cause health education that helps you feel vibrant without extreme dieting.

Got Gas? Don’t Reach for Probiotics right away...
Gas and bloating are incredibly common, especially for women navigating hormone shifts, stress, and busy lifestyles.
But gas is usually not because your body needs more bacteria right away.
Gas often happens when food sits too long and ferments in the digestive tract. In Ayurveda, this is often linked to sluggish or irregular digestion.
One of the most powerful and natural ways to help move gas out of the body is with spices.
Certain spices gently stimulate digestion, reduce fermentation, and help the body move trapped gas more efficiently.
Some of my favourites include:
• Fennel – helps relax the digestive tract and reduce bloating
• Ginger – stimulates digestion and reduces stagnation
• Cumin – supports enzyme production and gut motility
• Cardamom – helps relieve gas and post-meal heaviness
If you constantly feel bloated, uncomfortable after meals, or like your digestion is unpredictable, your body may simply need better digestive support.
A simple solution would be to take a pinch of all the spices above, and add them to a cup of hot water (not boiling water) and stir and steep for 5 minutes.
To take a deeper look, advanced gut testing may be the best place to start.
Need a hand navigating your health and tired of quick fixes that don`t work? DM "Vibrant" to see if you`re eligible for any one of my programs.

Most people think holistic healing means simply taking supplements...
I`m here to change that.
Ayurveda teaches something completely different.
It is a 5,000-year-old science of life that teaches you how to eat, live, move, and think according to your unique body and energy patterns.
What makes Ayurveda so powerful is its personalization. It looks at your digestion, hormones, metabolism, emotions, daily rhythms, and lifestyle to understand the root cause of imbalance, not just the symptoms.
This is why I love practicing and teaching Ayurveda. I have watched women transform stubborn weight, hormone imbalances, gut issues, low energy, and emotional burnout by learning to live in alignment with their bodies and the rhythms of the seasons and nature.
If you are new here, Welcome- I help women heal at the root using Functional Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine.
Because of how deeply this medicine has transformed lives, I am hosting an Authentic Ayurvedic Women’s Retreat in Kerala in January 2027, where you can experience traditional healing at its roots while surrounded by breathtaking beauty.
I also offer personalized Ayurvedic and Functional Medicine programs for women ready to go deeper into their healing journey.

Happy Women Physicians Day 🌹
Today I’m honoring the women who have answered the call to heal - the ones who hold space for others while navigating their own growth, families, challenges, and purpose.
Being a woman in medicine is a unique path. It asks us to lead with knowledge, intuition, compassion, and courage. It asks us to advocate, to listen deeply, and often to redefine what healing truly means.
I never wanted to be a physician- until I got sick, and needed to learn how to heal myself.
And when I got better, all I wanted to do was help as many people as possible- because I knew how I could help.
I’m deeply grateful to stand alongside so many brilliant, dedicated, and heart-centered women physicians who are changing the health space, supporting their communities, and paving the way for future generations.
To every woman physician - across Allopathic, Naturopathic, Ayurvedic, Chinese, Tibetan, and countless other healing traditions - thank you for your devotion, your resilience, and your commitment to supporting the health and transformation of others.
And to the mentors, colleagues, and patients who continue to teach and inspire me - I’m so grateful for you. ❤️

In Ayurveda, the human being is not seen as separate from the universe.
